What is a Bucker?
A bucker is a machine that removes cannabis leaves and flowers from their stems. Buckers are also sometimes referred to as “destemmers” or “debudders” because they remove the stems and buds. Adding a bucker to your cannabis operation increases efficiency and reduces costs.
Types of Buckers
There are multiple different types of buckers out there. Our conventional High Performance buckers use a roller mechanism to pull the plant into the machine and pop the leaves/flowers off the stems for maximum efficiency. Our GC or “Gentle Cut” line of buckers , specializing in dry product, uses a blade mechanism that carefully snips the leaves and flowers off of the stem, which ensures that large crown buds stay fully intact.
In addition to differences in the mechanism, there are plenty of size options when it comes to buckers. At CenturionPro Solutions, we make buckers of every size, from mini machines to large Megabuckers for bigger operations.
How to Choose the Right Cannabis Bucker
When choosing the right bucker for you, it is important to take the following factors into account:
Size Needs
How big is your operation? Do you need a smaller bucker with only one workstation or would a large bucker with multiple workstations make more sense for your operation? Think about the size of your harvest, space, and team and choose your bucker size accordingly.
Budget
Be realistic about your budget when choosing a bucker. There are many different options at a variety of price points. If you have a small budget, consider opting for a pre-owned certified bucker. All CenturionPro refurbished buckers are in near-brand-new condition and have gone through rigorous quality checks.
