Wondering how to clean your new CenturionPro trimmer? Read on for the info you need.

Why Cleaning Your Trimmer is Important

First and foremost, it’s important to understand the importance of cleaning your trimmer. Cleaning your trimmer regularly is part of the maintenance needed to keep your machine running smoothly and extend its lifespan. Regular cleaning prevents resin buildup which can cause premature wear and a decline in trim quality

We recommend cleaning your trimmer blades after every three to four hours of use and cleaning the entire trimmer daily after use. We also recommend greasing the bearings after every few cleanings. Keep track of each time you clean your trimmer so that you know when it’s due for the next cleaning.

How to Clean Your Trimmer

CenturionPro trimmers are designed to be simple to clean. Just follow the steps below.

  1. Remove the top cover, upper frame, tumbler, and bed bar blade.
  2. Wrap a plastic bag around the motor, or if Variable Speed Control box is present, remove.
  3. Use a pressure washer with hot water set to the fan spray setting. We recommend 1500-2000 PSI. You can also pressure wash the tumbler, upper frame, and bed bar blade. Do not pressure wash quantanium tumblers. Do not spray water directly at reel bearings.

To Clean the Leaf Collector:

  1. Remove the side panel.
  2. Remove any large plant matter buildup with your hands, then pressure wash the inside of the leaf collector with hot water. Avoid getting water in the center bearing.
  3. Tip the leaf collector up so that the opening will drain.

To Clean the Kief Collection System:

  1. Separate each of the three bags.
  2. Empty plant material.
  3. Pressure wash the bag from the inside out.
  4. Hang to dry

Make sure that all of the components are dry before you reassemble your trimmer. Run the machine for 15 minutes after cleaning to ensure no water remains.
